The Saudi Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority signed a cooperation agreement with the Egyptian Customs Authority, aiming to achieve mutual recognition of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) programs, enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the customs and trade fields.
This agreement seeks to enhance trade flow and supply chains in international trade by offering mutual benefits to the private sectors in both Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
Among the key points agreed upon is reducing customs clearance time to a maximum of three hours, instead of three days. This measure aims to facilitate the entry of Egyptian goods into the Saudi market efficiently and quickly, enhancing trade opportunities between the two countries.
